Goals from the past year

I wrote a post at the beginning of last year stating 12 goals of 2012. I'm copying and pasting them into this post to show what I've completed and add to my new goals for this year in the next post.

12 goals in 2012

My goals for the year:

1. Lose 30 pounds/tone my body (ideally  by June).
Ways to make this goal become reality: Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, Your shape fitness evolved, biking, training for another half marathon, trying to eat healthier.
I came close to this one. (Going to be real honest and tell you all my weight because I have to have accountability somewhere!) I started at 163 on Jan. 1 2012. I got all the way down to 144 in June, then we went on our cruise and gained 7 pounds back.  I really tried to be good over the holidays but not working out as much, has made me gain. My goal was to get down to 135. I will get down to 135 this year! I need to lose 23 pounds to make that happen! I didn't complete the 30 day shred, I used my your shape game a little, I biked a little, swam a little, I did do another half marathon and tried to eat a little healthier. Going to do much better this year!

2.Go on an Alaskan Cruise with hubby. (Hopefully going this June) Check! We did this and went with my in-laws and sis-in-law and bro-in-law. I started the part one of our crazy vacation and hope to finish the part 2. We went a day early and stayed in Seattle, WA, boarded our Royal Caribbean ship and took a 7 day cruise to Alaska. We stopped in Juneau, Skagway, cruised through the Tracy Arm Fjord and stopped in Victoria, BC before heading back to the main land. After we got off the ship, we boarded an amtrack train to Eugene, OR. Stayed the night, rented a car and on my 25th birthday, we drove down the coast of Oregon and California. We stopped in Eureka  CA and stayed in a horrible hotel, drove the rest of the way to Santa Rosa where we stayed for a couple days. We went down to San Francisco  toured Alcatraz  went to the warf/pier, crossed the golden gate bridge several times, and drove through wine country! We had a wonderful time!

3. Have daily prayer-prayer journal and devotion time for myself and together with Derek.
I hate to admit that even though my relationship with Christ strengthened this year, I did not keep a prayer journal, Derek and I lacked in our devotions with each other but I definitely enjoyed my quiet time in the mornings doing my bible study book and reading my Jesus Calling devotions by Sarah Young. I also enjoyed getting on my Bible app in the mornings and sharing the daily Bible verse.
4.Read through the New Testament this year.
Came close but did not make it through totally. I will get through it this year.
5. Reach 100 followers on my blog by March.
My blog took a major back seat in 2012. I did get up to 95 and hope to break 100 this year.
6.Have the experience of someone sponsoring  a review/giveaway for my blog.
Check! I did a review and give away for My Memories digital scrapbook design studio. I have used it a bit but now it is on my old computer and I don't have a mac version yet.
7.Organize and clean out my school filing cabinet.
Sort of. I need to do a better job of it now, but since I changed grade levels, I had to clean out/leave some of my old files for the teacher who took my old room.
8. Keep on our budget, saving for land and a house.
We started out the year great, ended in saying we "need to keep our groceries and eating out under control this year" We did buy land!!!! We are still saving to build our house.
9. Start my own business. (Look out ETSY!)
Check! I did start my own business with ETSY! Architecturally Speaking: Architectural letter photography. Great for wedding/anniversary/baby gifts!
10. Look into becoming a pampered chef consultant.
Check! I became a Pampered Chef Consultant at the end of April. It has been so much fun! I did get stuck for awhile in the "frustrating" stage where no one wanted to do parties, but I'm sure this year is going to be amazing!
11. Learn to drive a stick shift.
Big fail! We also got rid of our stick shift miata so I guess I don't need to learn at the moment :)
12. Be more dedicated to my blog and take more pictures.
FAIL! I did take some pictures this year but got so caught up on life and new challenges that blogging took a back seat. My goal for 2013 is to blog more and stay connected!
If you don't write or type your goals down, they will only be wishes.

Check back tomorrow for my new goals for 2013!

I was so excited to see a post from you, dear! :) Congrats on the weight loss, that is seriously awesome! I'm hoping to drop about 15-20 pounds this year and I know it's going to be tough-- but we can DO THIS!

I hope your pampered chef parties take off in 2013 too. That would be a dream job for me!!

Welcome back! I loved reading your goals and seeing how hard you've worked to make them happen! I didn't make a list this year, but my overarching goal is to be thankful in all circumstances, which I think covers a lot! Can't wait to see your new goals.
