Day of LOVE

This post is coming a few days late, but better late than never, as I always say!

Valentine's day is always a little crazy when you are a Kindergarten teacher. We have the kiddos bring in decorated boxes and valentine's to pass out to all their friends. We take turns during the morning passing out our valentine's to our friends boxes then in the afternoon we have our party. *Talk about a day full of crazy love* We play games, eat yummy treats and then open our boxes of Valentine's. For a couple years now, I've had the kiddos put all their valentine cards in a little construction paper scrapbook that I had pre-made by a gracious parent volunteer. The parents are very pleased that the valentine cards are taped or glued down and not going to be scattered all over their house.

The kiddos are so sweet though. Spreading the love to their classmates and teacher :) I received lots of cards, treats, and chocolates. (The chocolates didn't help much for my healthy living/weight loss goals but it was nice anyways!)

My hubs texted me earlier that day to tell me we had another house showing scheduled for the next day. Then about a hour later, texted me that we had another showing on Saturday and one in about an hour and a half. This wife did not leave the house that morning in a "show ready" condition. :( But fortunately, I have a wonderful husband who cleaned the whole house, bought me a rose and a sweet card! He took me out to a little Italian restaurant close to our house.

All in all, it was a day filled with crazy love! I hope you enjoyed some crazy love on Valentine's day and every day!

SNOW DAY!!

Happy Snow Day, Y'all! I love living in the south during "snow" days but every once in awhile I would love if it would REALLY snow!

A little bit of freezing rain/snow mix. I'll take it!

My snow day activities have included:
*Working out with Nicole this morning (before we even got to call that school was canceled!)
*Relaxing on the recliner catching up on shows
*Starting to clean up the kitchen
*Working on my Pampered Chef business
*Going through mail and throwing junk away
*Watching another Harry Potter movie with my hubs! (So glad he works from home :)

By the way, several items will be discontinued after February from Pampered Chef. Look below and if you would like to place an order, host a cooking show or an online catalog show, let me know!

Stay warm, my friends!

Accomplishment!

I've had some ups and downs on my journey to healthy living this year so far. From making poor food choices to not feeling like going to the gym, and on the flip side, staying within my calories on my fitness pal app and going to the gym at 5 a.m even if I would rather stay in my nice warm bed. I also have dealt with a slight stomach bug which threw off regular eating and exercising for a few days.

Today was an exceptional day! My friend Heather and I are doing the same devotional and keeping each other accountable. We weighed and measured on Jan 1 and plan to weigh/measure in the first weekend of every month. We couldn't get together last weekend because her niece had decided to make her grand entrance into the world and they traveled up to Ohio for the weekend to get some cuddle time in! We had stayed the night at their house last night so we could weigh in first thing this morning. *Side note* My scale at home went on the fritz about 2 weeks ago. I hadn't been able to weigh myself for 2 weeks and I was frustrated at that. On the contrary, that was actually the best thing to happen. I stepped on the scale this morning and had lost 5.6 pounds since the beginning of the year. I lost some inches in areas of my body so I was very excited about this! I'm very encouraged by this and keep working hard at reaching my goal!

Happy 100th Day of School!

We survived 100 days of Kindergarten on February 5th!

My Kindergarten team of teachers had shirts made that said "I survived 100 days of Kindergarten!"

We hung a huge 100 at the entrance of our hallway and cut out one of the zeros for everyone to walk through!

The kiddos had to wear something of 100. I had a lot of cute, unique ideas that came in on Wednesday! From hot glued play dollar bills/coins, to a "cool school" of felt fish, safety pinned jingle bells in a 100, the Chinese symbol for 100,  to fruit loot and beaded necklaces. We had a great day of reading 100th day books, doing exercises in 100 seconds, graphing, writing what we will do when we are 100 years old and celebrating our place value pocket chart getting to 100!

I also started my own teachers pay teachers store! Check it out! I have a 100th day Movement cards for sale!
