Fill in the Blank Friday

Hey Ya'll! I saw this on Kim's blog and thought I'd play along!

1. This weekend I'm  traveling home to TN, Addy's First B-day party  and  church on Sunday.

2. My last vacation was  these past two weeks. Hubs is now self employed and can work from anywhere so he brought his computer along, so we spent a week in WV with my family and a week in OH with his family!

3. My next vacation will be  soon to Boone Lake in TN with some friends. We are getting an awesome beautiful cabin on the lake!

4. My favorite way to relax is  to be at a pool reading or laying out in the pool or watching movies with hubby.

5. When vacationing one should always  have fun and do things that they normally wouldn't do on a day to day basis...sleep in, eat whatever you want, be adventurous,  and go with the flow!

6. When vacationing one should never  worry about what you are eating or what time it is (I'm guilty of this though...I like to plan but sometimes I can just go with the flow.)

7. The best part about a vacation is just being away and enjoying the people you are with.

I'm going to try my best to start up Recipe Friday next week. Instead of posting 4 new recipes, I'm going to change my button to be just Recipe Friday's. I have some great ones to share and I'm so excited. Be looking for some yummy desserts!

Help Wanted! and WILW

Hey Ya'll!

I am needing some advice/help on some things I would like to do with my blog design.

First off, I want to make a button for my blog and am not sure about the design or how I go about making one. I also would love to make a signature for my blog. I have also notice that on some internet browsers, my background doesn't fit the whole screen. It works for me on Mozilla but when I use safari on my phone, it doesn't show up. Can anyone help me fix this? I also have been wanting to add the sharing buttons at the end of my blog entries like email, twitter, facebook, etc.

Anyways onto what I LOVE to do every Wednesday...Link up with Jamie, duh!!
I'm LOVING this man and his ability to be the best golfer ever, not to mention a pretty darn good teacher. (The very first time he took my was when we first started dating and the lesson wasn't as good as this time, hubs, you got better at teaching!!!)
I'm LOVING that I got to spend all last week at my parents house and all this week at my inlaws house! YAY for being a teacher in the summer and for having a self employed hubby!

To go along with the above love...I'm LOVING that I got to go to my fav asian restaurant while I was home in WV...TASTE OF ASIA!!! I had their Angel roll and TOA roll! SO GOOD!
I'm also LOVING that we got to go out to my parents camper at their sports club and shoot the shot guns at the skeet range, build a campfire, roast marshmallows and hot dogs and enjoy everyone's company our last night there.
Beautiful sunset at the skeet range
Ginormous marshmallows!!!

I'm LOVING that my MIL and I are having a great time exercising. We walked around their little town Sunday totaling about 2 miles or so. We went to the YWCA and did some strength training and treadmill and bike and I totaled 3 miles on the treadmill and 3 miles biking. That night we took their dog on a walk for 1 mile and yesterday we went to the beautiful reservoir and walked 3.5 miles. I'm glad I get to slowly get back into the groove since my knee problems. We didn't do any of these distances for time...so they were slow but it's exactly what I needed!
The breeze and the waves in the water made me imagine that I was at the beach! Oh how I wish I could be at the beach..the next best thing is that we are going to Boone Lake in East Tennessee for a cabin on the lake vacation soon!

Have a great Wednesday, Ya'll!

Golf lesson #1

Tonight I had my first real golf lesson given to me by the best golfer I know, my hubby! He played for his high school team and was the captain of his college team. He impresses me every time I see him play or even practice at the driving range. That is where we went tonight. Me, Derek and his mom went to the driving range tonight. I was taught the uses of all the different clubs, was taught how to use the pitching wedge and driver. I practiced swinging a lot and hubs says I'm too stiff and I don't use my whole body. I gotta work on that! We also went over to the putting green and chipped some balls and putted. I definitely need more lessons but I think this is something that I might like to do every once in a while. The only down side, besides me not doing the best, is two lovely blisters on my left index finger and middle finger. I guess that's what you get when to first start out. Derek might take me golfing with his mom and dad Thursday night but we'll see. Maybe I can get him to let me practice some more before that. I'm not sure I'm ready to play for real. Until next time, check out my golf pro doing his thing!

Excited to show you what I'm loving tomorrow!

These words are music to my ears!

I wanted to share with you some devotions that I came across a couple weeks ago that really was something that I needed to hear! I'm reading "Jesus Calling" by: Sarah Young. It is a 365 day devotional and I really love it because it is written as Jesus is talking to you.

Here ya go and I hope these words bring music to your ears as well!

May 24
"Bring me your mind for rest and renewal. Let me infuse My Presence into your thoughts. As your mind stops racing, your body relaxes and you regain awareness of Me. This awareness if vital to your spiritual well-being; it is your lifeline, spiritually speaking.
There are actually more than four dimensions in this world where you live. In addition to the three dimensions of space and one in time, there is a dimension of openness to My Presence. This dimension transcends the others, giving you a glimpses of heaven while you still reside on earth. This was part of My original design for mankind. Adam and Eve used to walk with Me in the garden, before their expulsion from Eden. I want you to walk with Me in the garden of your heart, where I have taken up permanent residence."
Genesis 3:8; Psalm 89:15

May 25
"The world is too much with you, My child. Your mind leaps from problem to problem to problem, tangling your thoughts in anxious knots. When you think like that, you leave Me out of your world-view and your mind becomes darkened. Though I yearn to help, I will not violate your freedom. I stand silently in the background of your mind, waiting for you to remember that I am with you.
When you turn from your problems to My presence, your load is immediately lighter. Circumstances may not have changed, but we carry your burdens together. Your compulsion to "fix" everything gives way to deep, satisfying connection with Me. Together we can handle whatever this day brings."
Isaiah 41:10; Zephaniah 3:17; Psalm 34:19

I hope you feel refreshed and new this Monday morning!

Pomp and Circumstance

Oh how that tune can get stuck in your head many times after you attend a graduation. My baby brother graduated from High School Wednesday night. It was bittersweet because I'm so excited for him to get to experience college but that means that my parents will be empty nesters this fall. My middle brother, Jacob is going back to WVU in the fall and Adam will be going to WV Wesleyan College and swimming on their swim team. I am so very proud of both of my brothers! I wanted to take you through a journey in pictures of our graduation experiences!
